War Zone Initiative – SI Szombathely (Hungary) / Phase 2

The Project

This project is the continuation of the “War Zone Initiative – SI Szombathely (Hungary)” project which has now entered phase 2.

Indeed, at the end of phase 1, SI Szombathely managed to collect the requested funds and obtained the first results thanks to donations made through Project Matching. The Soroptimists managed to provide help by collecting and transporting health products, mainly medicine and bandages, to Ukraine and to refugees in Hungary with the help of a pharmaceutical company and in cooperation with the local organization of Maltese Charity Service.

The Soroptimists have expressed the wish to reopen their project to help both people in Ukraine and those who arrived as refugees to Hungary. They all need medical help, especially treatment of injuries and those of special consequences of extreme weather and environment conditions. In cooperation with Soroptimist Club Uzhgorod and the NGO Nehemiah Ukraine, the Soroptimists want to continue the humanitarian support according to the needs of refugees.
