The Project

Following the consequences of the war in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova is hosting thousands of Ukrainian refugees, temporarily settled on its territory, including in the city of Chisinau.

In this context, the SI Club of Chisinau in collaboration with the “Dacia” Center under the Municipal Directorate for the Protection of Children’s Rights (DMPDC), come up with a proposal for a project that would help 10 Ukrainian children (7-14 years) and their mothers to adapt more easily to new living conditions together with 10 Moldovan children (7-14 years old) and their mothers, who also need support and help to survive in the current complicated times.

The project envisages the organization of various activities aimed at facilitating communication between children and their mothers, including overcoming the stress and anxiety caused by the war in Ukraine and integrating them into society.

The activities will be instructive-educational and cultural: lessons-seminars on managing stress and negative emotions caused by war, creative workshops, fun and sports games, trips, including material help. The activities indicated in the project will be carried out with the support of specialists in the field.

Children – beneficiaries of the project are in the records of the Directorate for the Protection of the Rights of the Child, Chisinau Center sector. The activities provided in the project will take place at the Community Center for Children “Dacia”, which is offered free of charge for the implementation of the project.

The project could start with a minimum amount of 10,000 €.
